Chickadee Doll Tutorial and Pattern

$ 45.00

This Chickadee Doll pattern is designed for those that would like to learn the basics of doll making.  Included are the patterns for the 15" Chickadee Doll, Chickadee Sundress and Pantybloomers.  Well over 100 photos in the tutorial for making the doll and sewing the clothing.

This pattern makes the assumption that you have a general knowledge of machine and hand sewing.  You Tube is an amazing resource for tutorials if you need a refresher.  I suggest that you search the terms  ‘Machine Sewing for Beginners’ and ‘Hand Sewing for Beginners’  for a wide variety of videos to learn from.  The hand sewing stitches used are:  Ladder Stitch, Whip Stitch and Satin Stitch and Backstitch.

A sewing machine is suggested for preparing the body pieces but they can certainly be sewn by hand if you prefer.

Your options for hair are many.  This pattern includes instructions to crochet a cap of mohair for your doll’s head.  Sew a simple dress and pantybloomer set with the included patterns and your doll will be all set to join the family.

While I include instructions for the wig I do not include instructions on HOW to crochet.  The stitches used are: Chain Stitch, Slip Stitch, Single Crochet and Decrease in Single Crochet.
